While Valve and Samsung’s solution works only on a home network, Sony’s PlayStation Now and Nvidia’s Geforce Now services can stream games over the internet. Streaming games is a fairly new development on connected TVs. To get started you also need a supported game controller (Steam controller, Xbox 360 wired/wireless, Xbox One wired, and Logitech F510/F710). It took almost a year to polish up the experience but the app is now finally available in 55 countries, including the US and the UK, the companies confirmed. I have no regrets with my TV, even lower-res Switch Games look great on there with some fine-tuning to my tastes (and a mClassic dongle) just I wish I could get the Steam Link app.
In my head, I thought Steam Link would be one of those apps that would be in the app store on my TV, turns out they're currently only on Samsung TVs.
I got an LG 4k TV (with full HDMI 2.1support ready for next-gen consoles) however recently I've been wanting to play my PC games on my TV without the need for running an HDMI through my house.
